Personal Coaching for Soulful Working Women

Coaching is defined by the International Coach Federation as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today's uncertain and complex environment.”

I received my Present & Solutions Focused Life Coaching Certification in Vancouver in 2011 and am currently enrolled in a year-long Ontological (being-based) Life Coaching Program out of Victoria to add to my skill set and create lasting transformations for my clients.

Partnering with people like you to clarify and achieve their dreams - seeing the endless possibilities - is what really lights me up! I believe that each person is whole, complete and perfect just as they are, with all of the resources necessary to create their life by design.

I’m here to hold the space to discover what gets in your way and how to get past it, moving forward with intention, to achieve your desired results. It’s all about you. Your dreams, your desires, and your goals. I’m here to show you that it’s all possible.

Ready to live your life on purpose? I invite you to experience coaching, with a no-pressure complimentary sample session, to discover what value coaching might hold for you in your life.

Matraea Midwives

What are midwives?

Cowichan+Midwives+Matraea.jpeg

Registered Midwives in BC are primary maternity care providers who look after healthy pregnant women and their newborn babies. Midwifery care is covered by your Care Card. Midwives listen, observe, educate, guide and care. They are able to order and interpret tests and discuss results.  They screen for physical, psychological, emotional and social health. They attend women during labour, and birth: normal and complicated. Midwives visit you at your home after your baby is born. They help with breastfeeding and adjusting to life with a new baby.

Midwives work together and with obstetricians, pediatricians, family physicians and nurses. They offer evidence-based, woman-centred maternity and newborn care, and are an established part of the BC health care system. In a nutshell, midwives are experts in healthy pregnancy and birth.

Matraea has three different practice groups working collaboratively to provide care to more than 50% of the women giving birth in the Valley. Contact the Centre for more information or to book an appointment today.

How do I receive midwifery care?

The first step is to contact Matraea Midwives and set up an appointment. From there you and your midwife will discuss how the midwifery model of care can serve you throughout your childbearing year. Call 250 746 1999 to set up your first appointment today!

Natural Fertility Control

Sue Fryer - The Billings Ovulation Method Instructor

Screen Shot 2017-09-05 at 3.35.06 PM.png

Sue majored in social work at Concordia University, Montreal. She relocated to Vancouver Island seventeen years ago with her husband, Justin, and three children and is now an active resident in Maple Bay community.  As a mother and grandmother, Sue feels a special responsibility of passing on knowledge to young couples so that they become confident in knowing every day whether they are fertile or infertile and so decide when to make love, depending on whether they wish to achieve or avoid pregnancy.

There is an initial presentation of the Method, with follow up appointment two weeks later, in order to become confident in using the four common sense guidelines that need to be used in order to attain the 99% effectiveness rate (1998 Chinese Medical Journal) during the normal stages of a woman’s reproductive life (adolescence, breast-feeding, return to fertile cycles post-partum, pre-menopause, coming off contraception; emotional and extreme physical stress),  when ovulation is delayed.

Monthly presentations are given on the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Registration is necessary by e-mail   infobillings@shaw.ca  or phone 250 709 9081

Official websites:  www.billing.life  and www.woombinternational.com

Internet instruction: www.fertilitypinpoint.com

$25.00 deposit at initial presentation that is returned upon completion of two chart follow ups.

In Naturopathic medicine we use safe natural treatments including nutritional guidance and supplementation, herbs, physical medicine and more that are incorporated into a treatment plan tailored to the individual.

Tax Preparation

Amanda Slydell, Tax Preparer Extraordinaire

Amanda+Slydell+Matraea.jpeg

I love saving people money on their taxes! I take educating and helping people prepare for, sort and file their personal taxes very seriously. I welcome the challenge of multiple years and look forward to applying my knowledge to each clients individual tax needs.

I began by working as a receptionist in a prospering Vancouver accounting firm, and quickly moved through the ranks, until I found how much I enjoy the personal tax side of things. In May of 2011, my family and I relocated to the Cowichan Valley where I jumped right into income tax entrepreneurship!
